Despite Covid-19 we continue to look forward & make opportunities to connect people & solve problems.

We celebrated our Centenary in 2017 when we looked back at our fantastic achievements. Now we’re “Looking Forward” to the next 100 years as part of Rotary International, with the theme this year of 'Rotary Opens Opportunities'.

Transform Societies

We worked with the Meadow Vale Community Association to refurbish the existing but dilapidated not fit for purpose centre.

The new centre was formally opened on 23rd June 2018. Just inside the centenary year. Now the centre can deliver the benefits of providing amenities, clubs, activities etc to cater for all ages and nationalities and so begin to create a more vibrant community

Solve Problems

Rotary International has been working for over 30 years to eradicate Polio.

Bristol University supported Rotary in Bristol by lighting up the Wills Tower purple for polio.

We heard from Chief Executive Dom Wood from 1625 Independent People about the work of 1625ip - supporting young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.  

They provide a broad range of care for young people.  They find secure homes, teach life-skills, offer advice, help access training and job opportunities.  Most importantly, they help young people to live happily and independently. www.1625ip.co.uk
